When Irish people usually hear of Spanish students, they normally associate this with masses of Spanish teenagers descending on villages during the summer months. However, this is not what we offer at Speakeasy Ireland.
Being teachers here in Madrid, we are aware that Spanish families send their children to Ireland primarily for English language development, and statistically the summer camps set up for Spanish students are generally ineffective for this purpose. At the same time, it has also become clear that students who come and spend a minimum of a term here during the school year, usually return to Spain with a much better grasp of the language. For these two reasons, our focus is on enrolling students in Irish schools and providing them with host families for when they are here.
Our vetting protocol validates and qualifies potential host families, and adequate compensation to the family secure the most eligible hosts. If you are interested in learning more, contact us
